🥊On June 22, 1937 World Heavyweight Champion James J. Braddock put his title on the line against Joe Louis at Comiskey Park in Chicago, Illinois. Louis was knocked down early in the fight, but ultimately prevailed by way of KO in the 8th round. This fight began an unprecedented reign by Louis that included a 12-year continuous run as champion where he defeated 25 challengers, both records that still stand.
