‘Long Island’ The fourth and final in a series of artworks where I explore a central linear composition as part of my ‘CRACK’ collection. Here we have a literal depiction of a long island painted in two tones of sandy yellows and four blues that extend outwards from light to dark. It’s simple on the eyes but complex to achieve smooth continuous strokes. Six umbrellas are painted in a variety of colours along a central axis.
