In 1968, the advertising agency Esco-Inco hired Salvador Dalí for a bizarre and very successful ad campaign for Lanvin chocolates. In the ad, the surrealist artist dramatically bit into a piece of chocolate and famously declared, “I’m crazy for Lanvin chocolate!” His signature eccentricity and theatrical flair made the commercial iconic and helped create a new standard for creative advertising.
