On Wednesday, the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach opened an exhibit where visitors for the first time can watch sick and injured sea turtles go through rehabilitation, including "Porkchop," who had a flipper amputated.

JUNO BEACH, Fla. -- Cheers rose from a bundled-up crowd as a loggerhead sea turtle that survived a likely shark attack trundled back into the ocean after months of rehabilitation in Florida, carrying a satellite tracker to see how she fares with only three flippers.

Scientists have been closely monitoring a map turtle population after 10 percent died in 2022. They found a surprising culprit, and are left concerned for the future.
