Firefighters in Taunton, Massachusetts say a natural gas leak is the cause of a house explosion that left a mother and her child with potentially life-threatening burns.

Firefighters in Massachusetts are investigating an explosion that left a house engulfed in flames and at least two people injured.

"The female got out, she realized the child was inside the house. She went back in for her child and that’s when she suffered her injuries. I believe she came out on her own," Lavigne told reporters.
