After giving birth to a child not genetically hers due to an IVF error, a Florida couple is looking for their daughter's biological parents.

Women in India were told they couldn't be paid for their eggs. The result: a black market for eggs from women in need of money to survive.

It has also become a big driver in the number of older single mothers in the U.S. at a time when the country's overall birth rate is declining. The number of unmarried women in their 40s who are having babies has grown by 250% in the last 30 years, according to data from the government. A portion of these women have partners, but many don't.

In their letter, the lawmakers called on the Office of Personnel Management to require all Federal Employees Health Benefits Program insurance carriers to cover IVF and other fertility treatments to at least the samelevel of coverage that Members of Congress and their staff currently enjoy.
