A Cold Weather Advisory will be in effect for the Chicago area Sunday night, bringing more sub-zero wind chills to start the workweek. Cook County was under a Winter Storm Warning that continued longer than expected.

The NWS Blacksburg VA released a cold weather advisory at 12:22 a.m. on Monday valid from 6 p.m. until Tuesday noon for Alleghany County.

"The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 35 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes," states the weather service.
