An Osceola County man was recently arrested for allegedly shooting at his Uber driver — all because the driver suggested the man give him a larger tip for making him wait. Alexis Encarnacion-Rosado, 21, of Kissimmee, is accused of spitting on the driver before pulling out a gun and firing several shots into his car.

San Antonio police are warning the public about using unregulated ride services after a rideshare driver was shot by a passenger on the city’s west side Wednesday night. Police said the shooting happened just before 9 p.m. on West Laurel Street.

The men were targeted under Operation Lighthouse, an initiative led by federal and local law enforcement agencies to charge rideshare drivers accused of sexually assaulting female riders.

An Uber driver was shot last week while picking up riders in Antioch. Police said he was not the intended target. Struck in the neck by a bullet on Jan. 8, the Uber driver instinctively drove away to safety and called 911. He is expected to survive.

Taxi driver Robert Miller, who acted as their spokesperson at the meeting, and called for the Uber app to be cut off in the district. "Uber does not have a CDC licence to operate in the Cotswolds," he said. "That means that cars that are coming into the area - and we have quite a number of them - are operating outside of the regulations."

Kiefer Sutherland allegedly lost it on an Uber driver — threatening to kill them if they didn’t pull over — leading to the actor’s arrest, according to a report.

The company warned that failure to comply could lead to loss of access to the platform.
